Me: I want to be a blogger. think it would be cool to do a new week's resolution and write about how it goes. Like a weekly goal to try and be a better person or do better things.
Morg: Like what?
Me: Like, waste less food. Or something.
Morg: Have you done it?
Me: No, I'd really just want to blog about it.
Morg: That's a good idea.
Then, when we went camping a weekend or two ago, I come to find out that my amazing, wonderful, great-person-friend has been making a "New Week's Resolution" and has been killing it.
She's literally perfect.
So.
Here's a blog that
Today is Monday. I know. No, my resolution this week isn't to post on the right day next time.
This week, I'm going to go with my initial idea of wanting to waste less food. I know that goals need to be measureable and, so, I'll be going to an extreme this week with the official resolution of:
Throw away ZERO food
This is a broad goal that I will attempt to complete using four handy steps:
1. Eat ALL my leftovers
Typically this is where my biggest waste happens. I love to cook. I hate to eat something for three days in a row.2. Follow my meal plan for the week
I've been meal planning for about two years in an attempt to get supermodel abs. I've tried to fix it this week by not including too many repeats so that I can meet step numero uno.3. Freeze or eat fruits and veggies before they go bad
Please note that when I bought groceries today, I decided a pineapple and a watermelon were a good choice. That's a lot of fruit for a girl living alone. I also loaded up on veggies. I. Hate. Veggies. So... I'll be working hard here.4. Photograph all food before throwing it away.
This will be to keep me honest and also to make my Saturday post a little more interesting.Wish me luck, y'all!
